Why does the 3G modem on my Lincoln no longer work?

The North America 3G cellular service was decommissioned in February 2022.

Vehicles on the road equipped with a 3G-embedded modem have lost mobile app functionality and connectivity (e.g., you cannot remotely start or stop your vehicle, program your electric vehicle's charging, etc.).

There was a Customer Satisfaction Program that covered the cost of labor to install a 4G upgrade kit, but it has expired.
