What is Phone As A Key in the Lincoln Way App?
The available Phone As A Key* feature allows you to use your device as a key fob with the Lincoln Way® App** and set up a maximum of four keys per vehicle.
Important: It is recommended to always have your key fob present when using Phone As A Key.
Phone As A Key Controls
Including your Remote Commands, you can control the following:
- Unlock/lock your vehicle.
- Start/stop and drive your vehicle.
- Roll windows up and down.
- Open and close the trunk or liftgate.
Phone As A Key Requirements
To use Phone As A Key, you must meet the requirements below.
- Your vehicle is equipped with Phone As A Key.
- The Lincoln Way App is installed and running on your device with an active account.
Note: Ensure your Lincoln Way App version is up to date.
- Lincoln Connect®† and Phone As A Key were activated prior to the first use of Phone As A Key.
- Your Vehicle Connectivity Settings are enabled.
- Facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, or a passcode is set up on your mobile device.
- You have a supported mobile device running:
- iOS® 16.0 and newer
- Android™ 9.0 and newer
- Your device has Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) version 4.2 or newer.
- Bluetooth Wireless Technology is turned on at all times for correct operation.
- Your Bluetooth-enabled device is within 130 feet (40 meters) to authorize for use.
