Why are third-party apps blocked from using Lincoln Way credentials?

Using third-party apps with your Lincoln Way®* credentials increases account security risks and may cause additional load on your vehicle's electrical system, modem, and battery. This additional load may cause vehicle reliability and battery drain concerns.

You may have used your Lincoln Way username and password to share vehicle data from the vehicle modem with third-party apps or websites, such as personal car rental, car insurance, or power company apps.

As of May 7, 2024, Lincoln has blocked third-party apps from using Lincoln Way credentials. You can no longer access third-party apps using your Lincoln Way username and password. Access to the Lincoln Way App and lincoln.com is not impacted.

Note: When attempting to use your Lincoln Way login information on a third-party app or website, you will receive a message similar to the image below.
