How do I update my Lincoln Account or Lincoln Way App username?
Your Lincoln Account and Lincoln Way® App* account share the same username. You can update your username from your Lincoln Account or the Lincoln Way App by following the steps below.
Notes:
- Updating your username (through either method below) will change the username for your Lincoln Account and Lincoln Way App account.

Changing Your Lincoln Username
Select from the dropdowns below:
Lincoln Way App 4.X Experience
- Select Account in the upper right-hand corner.
- Tap Sign In & Security.
- Enter your current Lincoln Way App credentials.
- Tap Edit under your email address.
- Type in your desired email address and tap Request Code. A verification code will be sent to the email address.
Note: If you have not received a code within 10 minutes, you are able to tap Send New Code to have another code sent.
- Enter the verification code and tap Submit.
The success screen will display with the Return to Login button, indicating the username has been updated.
Lincoln Way App 5.X Experience
- Select Account in the upper right-hand corner.
- Tap Sign In & Security.
- Enter your current Lincoln Way App credentials.
- Tap Edit under your email address.
- Type in your desired email address and tap Request Code. A verification code will be sent to the email address.
Note: If you have not received a code within 10 minutes, you are able to tap Send New Code to have another code sent.
- Enter the verification code and tap Submit.
The success screen will display with the Return to Login button, indicating the username has been updated.
From the Lincoln Website
- Log in to the Lincoln support site.
- Click My Lincoln in the upper right of the screen.
- Choose Account/Manage Settings.
- Select Edit now under Sign In & Security in the Manage Your Account section.
- Click Edit in the Email field.
- Change the email (username) to the desired address.
- Select Request Code.
- Enter the code sent to the email address provided in the Verification Code field.
- Click Submit.
Once submit is selected, you will be logged out and will be prompted to log back in with your new username and current password.
Notes:
- You will receive an error if you enter an email in the incorrect format. The wrong field will be highlighted or underlined in red to display the error.
- You will receive a confirmation email that your username has been changed.
- Changing your username will automatically adjust your preferred contact email.
- Changing your username does not affect your password.
