How does Hill Start Assist work on my Lincoln?

Hill Start Assist is a technology that allows you to remove your foot from the brake pedal. The vehicle will not roll backward, allowing you time to move your foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator.

When activated, the vehicle will apply brake pressure for about 2 seconds after you have removed your foot from the brake pedal. This allows for a smooth transition from stop to go without the worry of the vehicle rolling backward.

This video explains how your vehicle's Hill Start Assist feature helps prevent rollback when starting from a stop on a hill.
